End of Season lacrosse...

Post by scott »

Hi, all -

The last lacrosse tournament for my son's summer team was this weekend. Took the 70D and the Sigma 70-200/2.8 and 2X TC with. Some grabs from the two day event below.

I love watching him play, and the game gets more, um, interesting, as the kids get bigger. But by this time every year, I'm ready for it to be done, and I know the boy is ready for a break.

FWIW, I think in the off season now I'm going to be selling the 70-200 and the 2X TC (and the 8x10 rig/lenses/holders/film), opting instead for a 100-400L. Need a little more reach and I don't shoot without the TC as often as I'd like to justify the faster lens. So if anyone's interested (hin hint)... :D

Thanks, as always, for looking.
Scott

What Phil said. I am envious of shots like this -- sharp, clear ones taken in action and showing what is going on. Excellent. I almost never succeed in those situations!

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I have fun shooting the kids' sports. Rapid-fire shooting, a lot of culling, get lucky sometimes.

I'm actually thinking now that I'll get an older body to dedicate to the Sigma lens and keep the 70D for the newer glass. A 40D is a lot cheaper than a 100-400L, and the f/2.8 is nice to have at times.
