First time I've done a test, and taken needed shots at the same time (see album "Boones Mill Depot After The Move"), but the camera didn't let me down.
Right off the bat, I liked the way it handled, with the controls clearly marked, and in good locations. I did have trouble getting the placement of the film leader in the right place for loading, which resulted in me having to re-shoot some images after noticing the Re-winder Knob wasn't turning. Got in a hurry, I guess.
One feature I really like is the HP mode, which uses the widest aperture setting, for a shallow depth-of-field.
Exposures look good, as I can't remember all of which ones I did on manual, or one of the Auto modes. Which is good, because when in manual mode, it's a bit trickier getting the proper setting using a zoom lens (bellows factor, and variable aperture on the lens comes into play). So for primes, it's okay in manual, but leave it in Auto or Program when using a zoom, unless it is a constant aperture variety, or you are using the shortest focal length.
This camera is definitely going in the bag with the FX-2.

I was shooting this in manual, and got caught by the cloud throwing a shadow. It looked worse before I fixed it in PSE10.

These look good, you are doing a lot of exercise with those plastic marvels lately.
I had never seen this camera before, does it have manual focus? These are the Yashicas that take Contax SLR lenses?

Yes, Julio, C/Y mount manual focus. Came across this and a 300 AF really cheap, and couldn't resist. Have to clean some shmutz off the AF lenses, then it will be ready to test.Julio1fer wrote:These look good, you are doing a lot of exercise with those plastic marvels lately.
