Yashica Electro 35 'Pad of Death'

If you own a Yashica Electro 35, you might have heard about the notorious "Pad of Death."

Briefly, if your Electro doesn't thunk when you crank the film advance, it needs a new pad.

I've put together an article that shows how to replace this without removing the lens. I've done this with three cameras.

Thanks, Mike. I've not had to do this yet with my Electro, but I'm sure it's coming.

It would be nice if one could source replacement P.O.D.s, as the later ones are not prone to this failure.
