Summer phone travels

We've just got back from a trip up to the Gisborne region (east coast, North Island). It's quite a drive to get there - not especially far, but the roads are anything but straight! I went all "fixed lens" in the camera department, carry the mobile phone, Sigma DP2M and a folder (Agifold).

Here's a few summery pictures from the mobile, hopefully to inject a little warmth for those shivering in the cold ;)

Champagne Pools (the various swimming holes seem to make a hissing sound, with some small pools being 4 metres or more deep):

It sure is a lovely country you live in, Paul. And I finally found my decent Atlas, so I can keep track of your travels.

Oh these are nice. Try as I may to like Winter, these views (and your always excellent photography) look way better to me.

The beaches up the east coast are very nice, and even in mid summer, there's very few people. I'll share some more soon, from a "real" camera.

Beautiful landscapes there, Paul! I would indeed have shot a lot of frames in that last location
