Super-Isolette

I had not used my Super-Isolette for almost two years. This is a favorite classic. Took the old girl to exercise with Pan F+ inside.

No filter, noon at summer, usual testing place. Almost full negative.



Getting close to one of those small boats. You need guts and knowledge to go far into the River Plate in one of these. The guys do it every day for a living.

Mooring post in Buceo harbor - this is about a 1/4 area central crop. The old Solinar lens is one of the best Tessars I have used.

Nice pictures, Julio. That is a great lens on that Super Isolette. Thanks for sharing.
I should really put a film in my Isolette III, since it is also about two years since I last took it out. I had the camera serviced by Jurgen Kreckel in the U.S. It received a new red bellows, a CLA and because there was some rust on the metal parts I also had it brassed by him, which gave the metal a shiny gold look.

In the last few years I have used a lot more my TLR (an Autocord) than MF folders. The TLR is easier to use with my glasses, and I like the large reflex viewfinder.

I plan to do more folder rolls - a little Perkeo that only saw a test roll, and a serious try with the Minolta Semi. Stay tuned.

As usual, very nice, and some lovely detail being extracted. I enjoy seeing your part of the world.

I can imagine it's a very nice camera. I have the Soviet version, the Iskra, and it's a lovely thing to use. My favourite films to shoot in it are Fuji Acros or APX100.

Now, you really need to sneak inside that church, or at the very least, explore every inch of its exterior. There's a whole roll of material there!

Agfa made some really average cameras and some really outstanding ones. The Super Isolette is one of the outstanding cameras. Nice job, as always, Julio.

I really like some of the closeups. And I agree that the Solinar is one of the better Tessars - possibly even better than a Tessar.

Pan F+ in Beutler is a killer combination for sharpness.
