Found Film {in the freezer}

Post by TobaccorRoad »

B&W Kodak Plus-X Pan Pro, 120 rolls. Expired 1991, I wonder if it is still good? Found at the bottom of my freezer.
May be a chance for my Box Tengar to get a little exercise?

It should be just fine, Ron. Hope you don't have any fires in your neck of the woods.

Should work. Maybe a bit of fog.

Couple of small fires nearby PF, but the Wenatchee {140 miles from here} fire is still sending smoke, and it's not even fire season yet.
Too much smoke to do photos outdoors.
The smoke would probably act as a filter, I like blue skies with clouds.

Having been in the freezer, that should be nearly perfect. B&w film keeps very well. And Plus-X was really rich in silver. Great tones. :)

You might try shooting it as normal, and then with a stop extra exposure (but develop as normal). I imagine the normal speed will be fine.

Yeah, I made the mistake of loading up some color film today, then looking outside. Smoke from Canada, and dust from the Sahara. Not a good combo. The rains won't be clearing it out, either because of the wind patterns. It's said to be creating more intense lightning, so there may be a fire or two started in the region. They had to close I-81 today because of smoke from a brush fire, but no word yet on what started it. Lots of rumbling tonight, but no rain in the area.
