I added an extension today that let's you "like" a post.

Right now, it shows up as a heart, but maybe I'll change it to a different icon.

Click on the heart, and it will show that you "like" a post.

All I got was a white page with one line of computer code for the heart.

Probably a style issue. I feel some template work coming on ... :(

Update: The developer who coded this is aware that it doesn't work with certain board styles and hopes to have it corrected soon.

same here.. I'm using the prosilver forum style
{"toggle_action":"remove","toggle_post":"4466"}

It does the like, but the transition back to the forum is wonky.... after a refresh (F5) the hearts are filled and the count goes up

I purged all sessions and cleared the board cache. See if that did the trick for you. I tried it with ProSilver, and it worked OK.

• Here's the prosilver style.

• I know it doesn't work for Subsilver2 style.

I'm running DVGFX2 and it doesn't work.

PF

ps: Or, at least I thought it didn't. I still get the white screen with code, but when I back-page, the heart is filled, and the count has gone up.

pss: It appears to work if I either post something afterwards, or if I leave the Forum section and then return later on. In other words, I don't see the change when it happens, only after I have moved on from that part of the Forum, and then back again.

DVGFX2 is based on subsilver2, which will give you the error. That's why you get the line of code.

It works on the back end (actually increments the counter), but doesn't dynamically display the correct result.

I flushed the system's cache, which hopefully resolved the problem for most of us. No fix yet for the subsilver2 styles.
