Phil, These are two fine posts about your drive in Giles County and the things you saw. Bridges like the one in your first series can make a fellow have nightmares. Though I know the night darkness of country roads from my growing up years, now they really scare me especially when you can't see what's over the hill or if there's a rickety bridge. Your idea of "out of the ordinary" for the second series really works; that's a great picture of the Goldfinch inspecting the flower. Party line-- yes-- a long and 4 shorts.
