More B&W images from my archive. These images are from a fashion shoot that I did in around 1966. I used a Zenza Bronica S2 with a Nikkor-P 75mm f2.8 lens, loaded with Kodak Verichrome Pan 120 film rated at 320 ASA, processed in Accufine. The client was a women's magazine called Huisgenoot.

Graham - definitely shots from a different era, although the approach to this kind of shoot doesn't change. Did you have an assistant loading backs? Or did you preload a bunch yourself? I did some runway shoots a few years ago, and the experience was great but very different from what you shoot. Did you use some reflectors and umbrellas? Any fill lights?

Great shots
Huisgenoot!= House Companion in Afrikaans
The African version of YOU magazine; it had one of the largest circulation until a few years ago.

Only one back, but two inserts. All I used was fill flash, a big Metz unit, took a long time to recycle (which resulted in some of the shots not having a full discharge) and which limited the shutter speed to 1/125th. No assistant, just my then girlfriend acting as a gopher. Now she is my wife, and I'm the gopher.

Beautiful, took me back to my youth. Light looks well balanced. I remember those old Metz Mecablitz units.

The reflector was round and 15cm in diameter! lead acid battery. Beautiful light quality.

I at first wondered if you used a reflector but then there would have been side shadows on the faces, so I figured it had to be flash. And it wasn't harsh enough to be bulbs. Good work there, Graham.

Thank you, sir.
